Wokai 2.0 Launch Event!
Wokai (it means "to open" in Chinese) is a relatively new Chinese microfinance organization that was started two years ago and that works on the Kiva model. Even though when most people think of China they think of it as a fast growing economic powerhouse, the reality is that there exists a huge income gap between the rural countryside and the elites in the cities - and we're hoping Wokai will be able give more economic opportunities to those at the bottom.
Wokai is celebrating its 2.0 website launch on March 11th and you are cordially invited. Event information is below:
